Moses in the cradle. This plant is widely grown in the tropics and loves warm climates. Quick and easy growing. It is a fleshy, attractive, perennial native to Mexico with waxy leaves.Treat it as you would a succulent. It has upright, short-stemmed, sword-like leaves which are dark metallic green on top and bright purple underneath. Its flowers are tiny and white and hard to see. Also known as Moses in the Bullrushes, Moses in the Cradle and Moses in the basket. There is also a variety which has striped foliage, that is, instead of the leaves being dull green they have white stripes through them, and they are called ‘Stripe Me Pink.'
Sure pop it in a pot, it's one pretty tough plant. Just a note of caution as many dogs have a skin sensitivity to this plant if they rub up against it.
