Lol. I think black door furniture will be longer lasting than black tap wear. Buy what you love, that way you'll love it even if it isn't fashionable. I have aged brass doorware and chrome tapware and have never thought they clash. The Block judges criticise when the tapware and towel rails etc are a mixture of finishes. You'll be fine if on the odd chance they do drop in.

This is sort of what I am trying to achieve - white timber windows ( double hung with no bars in them though) and black feature doors. My living floor plan is attached. The doors in question will open from the dining to the alfresco areas. Are black sliders here too much / do they match the white wooden windows everywhere else? Thanks
