We are considering a Corian shower base with tiled walls for our ensuite renovation. We have been advised by the salesperson that silicon should not be applied between the bottom row of tiles and the lip of the shower base - grout can be used as it is porous. We are concerned that this could become mouldy and house movement could cause the grout to deteriorate (isn't that why you don't grout between tiles and benchtops?). We would love to hear from anyone who has experience with Corian shower bases.
