Don't do tile skirtings it's too old fashioned like you said. Do timber skirting and paint in white like walls. That's the modern way

what did you end up doing? I am putting a similar tile in my bathroom wit’s one painted wall and are wondering if a tile skirting in the same tile is old fashioned? The tiler who gave a quote said I needed a tile skirting to waterproof the area. any Ideas on wooden skirting vs tile skirting

Tile skirtings in a bathroom are normal and not old fashioned - I wouldn't put wooden skirtings in a bathroom ever.

Guys, should we go with tiled skirtings to match the floor or pvc skirtings? We retiling the entire house.

The house with current tiles and below the tiles to be installed.

Also should we tile upstairs, floor that leads to bedrooms with the same tiles or with a dark wood looking tile?

With the tiles you are changing to have pvc or wood skirting, if you use tile for skirting, it will look like a bathroom.
Keep the tiles the same throughout.
But they look very glossy and slippery, they will show up all dirty marks as soon as any sun is shining on them.

Levarne Sobotker....although the tiles are beautiful you are very brave having those very glossy tiles throughout your whole house...from experience of having glossy tiles - they show every mark and really need cleaning multiple times a week - and you can't just mop very glossy tiles because the water marks show when they dry on - so you have to do small areas at a time and dry as you go - it will take an age to clean them if you have them through a whole house. We have gloss tiles in a couple of bathrooms and I would never choose them again. They are also very slippery when wet.

OMW I had no idea, i’ve already bought 250 m2 of tiles. 😕. We do have cleaning services come in to clean the house once a week. Hopefully they would manage.
