can't give you opinion on pressed tin, but if u like the look of the patterns there is a ceramic tile that looks a bit like pressed metal designs.....hard to explain ...check out the link if u r interested. I used as a kitchen splashback and I and everyone who sees it loves it.
Hi Laurel, I'm a huge fan of pressed tin! If you are going to use it in a kitchen I highly recommend getting it powder coated in the colour of your choice and properly installed (you can do it yourself) and then it's good to go, scratch proof, easy to wipe down and simply stunning. I don't have any pics of it where we've installed it as a splash back but we did use it to create a cover for our fully integrated dishwasher. This has been installed for over three years in our house with four boys (3 teenagers) and doesn't have a mark on it despite their grubby paws and rough handling.
There are large format ceramic tiles which look like pressed tin just like our Zoe Blanco below. These are completely maintenance free, they do not need sealing, they will not stain and are very easy to clean. Also being a large format product they have very minimal grout joints. Hope this helps!
Hi Relish, sorry to hijack this post but I want to use the same tiles as you in my kitchen. Can you help me with a few things? Can you tell me which grout colour you used? and secondly, what paint colour you used on the adjoining wall. Your kitchen looks fantastic, just what I want. I hope you don't mind me asking.
