Comments (4)Cream always looks good with green, maintain the same green for windows & door. Having said that you can choose any colour by repainting the gutters & fascia etc. Get lots of colour swatches & hold them up to the roof (from a distance) to see what looks best to you. Then get some sample pots & paint so you get the proper effect of the end result. Comments (5)It is 'of a certain era' , and without spending big $$$ , that's always going to be the base , and why not ? I'd take the cue from the lower brickwork , and do the windowsills and gutters in a tone thats more charcoal than brown , but with a slight brown aftertaste . Likewise , I'd redo the upper level in weatherboard , whether its painted , coated , synthetic , but personally I wouldn't mix styles -- scyon or render done in that orange tone will look like an obvious add-on ( yes , I know , the well-worn boards do that too , but look at how the concrete railing has come up with a paint ) . Basically , keep it looking like up-dated period IMO . Basically , get rid of all the green , and the awnings , and work with the orange , the 'interesting' aspect of the brown , the roof , and the small bit of white ....See More

7 years agoIt's very easy to get concerned about the roof colour - however the beautiful proportions & detail of your home means the roof is not a focus.
I'd suggest going with your ideal scheme, with a backup plan to paint the gutters in a blue to match if they are an eyesore...

This is a little tricky.
I have done a quick research for you and the images i come up with are below.
Try to introduce a grey tone that has a slight and i mean very light green undertone.
