I'm planning on a full renovation of a bathroom in a unit and have been told by the managing Strata Agent this requires a special by-law in NSW. So how do I go about having this done?
There are a number of Australian Standards that must be complied with for bathroom installations and renovations; these include specifications for waterproofing, ventilation, plumbing and electrics. Not sure about special by-laws though. I'd suggest checking with your local Council, a local builder and reading up on your strata by-laws.
Thanks for responding Sammy. Yes, I've had bathrooms renovated before in free standing houses and am aware of various standards required. I'll take up your other suggestions.
