Colour of gutters?

We are painting our weatherboard, along with replacing our gutters. The roof is tin, & house is going to be painted light grey cladding, with white trim and dark grey base boards. We were thinking that we would get the gutter and fascia a darker (slate grey) colour, but have noticed most houses seem to have the gutter and fascia a similar colour to their roof, it's like it's an extension of the roof colour. I'm starting to reconsider the gutters and get similar to tin (gull grey). Wondering people's thoughts?

Comments (13)thanks Daria :) yes I'm pretty happy with the result... and am glad I went with the lighter colour fascia in the end as you can see the edge of the fascia under the eaves from the upstairs windows, and the light colour blends in nicely with the white eaves... otherwise you would see a dark edge all around the eaves everyt time you look out the window...See MoreColour ideas for gutters and posts please
Comments (12)Dark green does not go with your house & black would be a bit harsh too against the brick. For a softer contrast what about the Colorbond colour Windspray. Comments (7)No to above colour suggestions I know grey is in but you're bricks appear very brown with no obvious fleck of another colour Tho primrose appears to be current colour and tho is not my fave it does lighten up your house well which is what you want for fascias and Windows. But drainpipes only must be darker than brick so try jaspar or woodland grey. Gutter can be roof or fascia colour prob fascia colour to give more light contrast relief I'd play on colorbond visualiser go see what pops against dark brown brick - white or surf must may be too stark but maybe if you know your brick you could ask manufacturer for suggestions...See MoreHelp with paint colours
