Floorplan - advice on size of kitchen dining living

I've been sold on the layout as per the attached picture for a long time, however in viewing this home I was hugely underwhelmed at the feeling of space in this area. Curious to know if Houzzers think it's due to perspective (shallowest part of room viewed on entry) or if 50m2 is small regardless of layout?

The living area is the one place we want to feel large spacious and welcoming

Home was a display home, furnished with 31c ceilings.

Look's quite good to me. Not oversized or huge but a very comfortable size. I can see why you're sold on the layout it looks quite efficient, good room size's, etc.

Do they have a slightly larger version perhaps?

Could they extend this design to include a slightly larger living/dining?

High ceiling's are fantastic. They give the illusion of generous space. I'd spend my money on high ceiling's rather than extra floor area, in particular on this layout as it is really quite good. A quality fit out is also well worth the spend.
