Walk in Wardrobe or Reach in Wardrobe. Which do you Prefer and Why?
Comments (10)I agree with jmm1837 and builders and designers are now realising that clients are spending more of their hard earned cash on clothes and require space to look after their dresses, skirts, suits, shoes bags etc. The key rule for built in or walk in robes is to be able to see and reach everything in your wardrobe. Wardrobe design is very different to kitchen design and it is worth investing in a professional wardrobe designers service to get maximum use of space. If you choose a Reach in or Built in wardrobe the doors are the main feature and make a statement in the room therefore style and finish is very important. If you choose hinged doors make sure you have enough room to open them, sliding doors take up less space. A professional wardrobe designer will work with you to custom design the internal fit out of the built in robe, how much half hang, full hang or 3/4 hanging you need, shoe storage and how many drawers you require. Fashions may change but style never dates, if you get the design right and invest in quality your wardrobe will last a lifetime.www.alliancerobes.com.au...See MoreWhich is the most timeless splashback material of all?
Comments (17)I love our glass splash back. We choose an electric blue as the rest of our kitchen has a lot of timber, white and windows. Easy to keep clean, withstands the heat of the stove and you can choose any colour you like. you can even match it with an existing wall colour if you wanted to. The aluminium one sounds good, but I think that in our climate with salty air and a lot of moisture it would show corrosion spots very quickly. macymacmaples, I agree that there are a lot of choices for tile, but the 'easy to replace' comment doesn't really make sense to me. Then again, I have no idea how easy it would be to replace our splash back, which is wedged between the overhead cupboards and the benchtop - I still love it though, even after 10 years!!!...See MoreAll the same bathroom , ensuite and powder room ?
Comments (12)HI Renae, I like your colour choice black & white, I went all white in my renovations of kitchen & bathroom and just by adding a bright coloured fruit bowl, vase, pot plant and a small painting in the kitchen made the kitchen look fresh whilst in the bathroom I just added bright towels bath mat. I changed the colours in winter to warm colours and cooler colours in the summer both kitchen and bathroom. These are simple and cheap things to change a look whilst if you go for timber it can date quickly and timber absorbs moisture so it has to be looked after (time consuming and $) looking forward to seeing your finished renovations....See MoreHelp! Which kitchen design should I choose?
Comments (164)In my early twenties I designed kitchens for my mother and two aunts (Uncle built them and they worked), but when it came to designing my own - had to fit a constrained space and no possibility of extension - I chewed my lips for ages - like Nicole, I drew and measured ad infinitum, and used graph book walls, views etc. I did one extra thing - which I think worked - I listed all that I wanted to store, and tried to analyse how I liked working in the kitchen. Some things I had to settle for because of space (such as a smaller dishwasher) but most of it has worked. We have a corner pantry, which I (and the cat, husband a bit larger) can walk into, but have not put small appliances in there - they sit in a large drawer beneath the main working bench, which also works well. It all looks good to me Nicole and thinking carefully about needs and how things work in advance usually results in something you'll be happy with. Good luck!...See Moreleo
