Wow I too have the same glass above my doors. Mine are all internal swing doors therefore I don't have your delema. I'm in the middle of renovations and mine are staying. My walls will be dark and modern with all the trim white with the original character and it looks great. With your wall, it's a lot to deal with therefore would suggest replacing the slider with a glass door with timber trim, keep your walls light modern and bright and paint your trim dark (any colour you favour) here is my example to give you an idea of what I'm talking about hopefully you can see the value here is a snippet of my renovation good luck....hope my idea gives you plenty of ideas

Already have my Mountain View with windows to floor. But in future would have windows at least a foot off floor as the sun through glass not kind on edge of carpet.

You will need to look at how blinds will clear the door handle if recessed in the frame. There may not be enlightened space. Also wi5 the big door you will need to break it into two or maybe three blinds due to weight of a long span. It’s much easier to pull up a smaller blind which outweighs the negative, no pun intended. I’d look at white, But a pale green or blue may also work particularly if you can echo the colour in cushions, rug or artwork. Get the blind company to bring you samples.

For curtains, the best option would be for ceiling mounted track, curved at the corner. The stackback area to the left is tight to fully open the curtains off the window area. A possible solution (as you look to be in the middle of renovations), if there are no utilities in the last 20-30cm of the bulkhead to the exterior(?) wall, you maybe still at the stage to alter this to provide a pocket area for curtains to stackback into. There are other considerations for an area that poses a few challenges and obtaining expert advice now could provide better solution that require some input from your builder.
