Hi Eric,The trend you are looking for with Roller blinds and sheer curtain on top of it to give it that soft touch is a nice look.Otherwise you can consider doing Panel blinds. I would go for the top option though.

Why do you need to cover the windows? Sun? Privacy?
We have two such sets of windows (one in our main residence and one in our holiday home) and have chosen not to cover either. To do so, would have ruined fantastic views. Privacy is not an issue for us.

Window Coverings - A Question
Lovely room, I don't think sheer curtains for this room perhaps a large roller blind for day time sun control? and a plain curtain for night time which pulls back into the RH side, something simple.
Planting around the boundary should give you day/night time privacy
I think you need a double roller blinds, so you can drop the light-filtering blind if you need a fraction of sunlight inside or totally drop the blockout blind when you need privacy.
