Pendant lights above kitchen island bench... Advice!!

My kitchen along with the brown overhead cupboards I've gone for look a little bit boring. I will add chrome door handles to the overhead cupboards as it'll look neater and a canopy rangehood is yet to be installed.
I wanted to originally go for the red pendants as shown, as I thought it'd pop out nicely against the brown.
I then decided that if I was to not go with the red, that those candy champagne pendant lights would compliment the brown overhead. Not sure now if it clashes.
I thought the champagne candy lights looked lovely but then I think the white frosted glass pendants with sliver complimented the stainless steel appliances and white splashback.
So which do you think give the kitchen more of a wow factor.

Comments (4)Hi as you say its a bit bland and needs a bit of life added to it. I think black island stools and 2 large pendants or else go with 3 smaller glass pendants. Or industrial style pendants. No, if you replace pendants that have staggered drops, the fittings are completely removed and new pendant fittings are installed in their place. i just wanted a nice bright colour to pop out. The champagne do look elegant. Hopefully it'd work with my kitchen table and living area as shown.
Also, where are the pendants from in your second photo? Are they available from Melbourne Australia?

7 years agothanks so much. I want to draw the attention to the champagne candy pendants and to be the feature behind the dull brown overheads. I'm thinking it's ok to mix metals. I forgot to add the canopy rangehood which will be installed behind the pendants. I hope it won't clash! My stainless steel kitchen appliances are yet to be installed.
