I thought it part of their Melbourne series but cannot find it either. Im not sure what else to suggest. Thanks everyone so much for your suggestions. The general consensus seems to be that we should work on the garden, which we agree with and this is actually what we are in the process of doing. Love bcdc602 suggestion of adding silver leaf plants and grasses. We recently planted two lilly pillies either side of the front window which will grow quite tall and cover those solid brown sections of wall. We are also removing the blue awnings over the coming weeks. Interesting suggestion by telperien to paint the window frames white. Will give that some thought. Thanks again!

I say go for it as your door is the window to your home. My advice would be to consider the colour of the flecks in your brick to make sure your chosen colour works with it and not to forget about the colour of your roof and window frames. For example I would have loved a red door but it would have looked ghastly with the green roof on my 25 year-old house. Instead I did black with dark grey window frames (which truly just look black) which works to pick up the black in the brick. I added my big pot plants with green foliage and still got a touch of red in the form of an old chair I picked up from an op shop years ago. The entrance is welcoming, attractive and reflects what is waiting inside. Have fun and if your chosen colour isn't quite right do what I did and find a way of incorporating it into the scheme somehow.

It could look fantastic, but it would be a bear to clean. You'd have to find a way of filling the surface with a clear resin/product of some sort the bring to make cleaning easier but that in itself is problematic as you then have fire safety issues. The option of glass over brick is a good one - you could also have the image of the brick you like digitally printed onto a glass splashback and get the best of everything. Your other option is to have a sealed brick backsplash everywhere but behind the cooktop and elect to either do glass or stainless steel there depending upon your look.
