Comments (18)On window add a black shade, woven bamboo sold at all big box store they are just hung on nails and the put up rod in black and add white panels in each end for a finish look. Palm trees or tall plants are used to fill in bare spots in rooms usually corners. The sofa you picked above is nice, how long is it? Just put one chair on door wall. Not enough room for more. Comments (17)The cane furniture will really look nice in your verandah. As for plants, jump online and browse for some hardy plants on the Aussie websites. They are a wealth of information and if you do have a large planter box or pot make sure you put it on wheels. That way you can take your plants in and out of the house. Also put a base under the pot/planter so it catches the water and does not ruin your nice floor. You can pick these from a garden store in your area. Good luck! :) btw hope you don't mind me your spelling error "taught" should be "taut", I really hope folks correct my spelling too! cheers....See MoreIdeas for long, awkward garden space?
Comments (3)Look into the idea of a garden room. That is, dividing each area into a defined hedged garden room with its own character. Then that stairs and long path area could be like an avenue between the areas. Whenever I see long and narrow block and kids I think bike track! Landscape with larger trees and hardy bushes and put in a gravel path the kids can ride up and down on.Clear out the plants but don't discard them, you might be able to reuse all that moses cradle elsewhere. Then get a load of mulch and mound it up along the path. It will give you a blank canvas to plant into. Look for shade plants that will give you some colour. I'd also put the gravel path back towards the fence as you come down the stair, and squeeze a little garden bed in between the path and the staircase....See MoreNeed ideas for vertical garden/decorative wall features
