Comments (16)Hi friendly Kim. I've just looked at your profile to see if I could find your photos. I noticed you have them on a new post. I now understand, you already have a full alfresco area under the main roof, and vertical sun blinds, and also have noticed your fan, as you mentioned. The roof extractor fan may help remove the heat. I was also thinking if you had some tall lush plants along the side where the pull down blinds are. This would stop the sun, but allow the air through. But, sometimes we just have to move inside. This is why solar passive orientation of our new homes is so important. Hope you find a solution....See MorePatio from the deck

It would not be nice for people to be using the toilet next to the dining table - noise and smells .You could then remove the strange basin in the dining room .As long as you are allowed to extend the back deck to the wall , then that would work for you ....See MoreHeat treated deck
Comments (0)I have a front porch and covered patio that need decking. I used aluminum before with great success. I don't want treated woad nor any composite. I'm thinking of heat treated Ash or Oak. Has anyone here had any experience with either. Thanks for sharing....See More- 9 years ago
