hi there without knowing the measurements, you have a lot of small peices of furniture and other so I would start with reducing this

Move the wardrobe over the where the dressing table is, place dressing table under the window and perhaps a narrow lot of shelves beside it running up to the door, and behind if deep enough, it's a bit hard to see from the photos, I would make the shelves a tall unit. I can se that you might have to get someone to run a power supply across under the window, for your hairdryer.

A lamp would be nice floor or wall mounted for reading and a night light. and change the curtain for a blind cheers

Storage seems to be an issue.

I would look at buying a new bed, one that let you store things underneath. You don't have to spend a fortune, there are a lot of bargains outthere. (You can also try freecycle.com)

Alternatively, I highly recommend reading The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo, it's a fantastic help for anyone who need to decluter.

Can you paint the room? White walls would go a long way to freshen up your room.

Your curtains are too short, if you cannot change them, try to add a panel at the bottom. But Kmart has some really cheap ones ($10!)
