White-tail spider in my track suit pants WHICH I WAS WEARING! I thought it was a lump of lint from the laundry, drew it out, and promptly flung it across the room once I realised... never to be seen again! How it didn't bite me and sat still to be picked up, I don't know - it must have known I wouldn't do it any harm. We lived in lots of country places, too... We were invaded by small black crickets one year, and lady bugs, another year, in your drawers, in your hair, in your pantry, in your undies... everywhere! And then the blue tongue lizard that would go in and out with our dogs via doggie door, and made itself a nest in our laundry... I gave up and left some old towels for it. Had an echidna get up into the wheel well of our car... wild brumbies in our patio... the list goes on. My husband still says that the most unwelcome visitor was his mother... I like her better than he does!

Wow Nicole, sorry you took my offer of assistance the wrong way. I responded as there had been no other responses to this original posting from 18th January, and your plans and the original question didn't show great clarity of thinking. I am glad that you have resolved your queries via another posting, drawn everything up yourself to a high standard so that your renovation will progress smoothly and efficiently with all of the appropriate technical documentation. Hi Natasha, a beautiful vase that you can bring greenery into the room, make it as simple or ornate as you feel suits your space, I love adding different things of interest, even a branch off your tree in a vase can look amazing , have a look at Adairs they have some funky pieces at the moment.

Afternoon Houzzers…..we are revisiting our thoughts on our extension after this summer. We now realise we want the new space to be our primary bedroom with ensuite and clothes storage. We will convert our existing downstairs room into a Bunk room/kids playroom. Downstairs will comfortably house 2 families. Upstairs..we still want 3-4 metres added to the existing living…for more seating, activities, board games WFH space etc….the rest of the space will be our bedroom and bathroom. ..(we can not extend to the East) The room will be west facing and looking into our garden . The garden views are beautiful and I would like to capture them from the bedroom and through the living room (aspect and window requirements are drawn in Pink) The blue pen outlines the proposed extension…I feel it may need to be a bit bigger. I have a dilemma in that I want all that BUT I do not want to see my bed from the living room..when the door is open to catch the view….. Playing with the plan,doing cut and paste and I can’t get it right. I would love some fresh creative eyes to help me work this out please. We are on the Mornington Peninsula. We are in a flood zone, and have height restrictions, so we will not be able to build underneath the upstairs room..we hope to use it as a carport/outdoor room . I really appreciate any further input you may have. ……just trying to send updated plan..standby
