Help with choosing render colours
Comments (10)I had my house rendered last year. To decide on colour, I first drove around looking at rendered houses, to get a feel for the colours & tones I preferred. Then I used the "Paint Your House" program on the Dulux website. You can either look at their various "stock" houses, or upload a photo of your OWN house. Then, using their colour selector & painting program, you virtually "paint" your house, so you can see what it will look like when done. Once I'd narrowed it down to a couple of colours, I got sample pots in full-tint, half-tint, and quarter-tint. Painted sheets of papers with them, and stuck to outside house, so I could see what the wall colour would look like during various times of day / sun vs shade /etc. It was a bit stressful worrying how it would look when finished (since I went a deep ocher gold), but I'm thrilled with the result....See MoreDULUX Colour help for outside of rendered house
Comments (9)I would say it is more beige than grey. It has been quite some time since I have looked at a sample not online though. I like to look at the dulux colour atlas to see where the 'white/neutral' sits in relation to stronger colours. For example the white duck/oyster linen suggested sit in the green toned region. I like white duck for our home as we have woodland grey colourbond and I feel it is a charcoal with a green under tone. Based on your description of what you are after beige Royal sounds like a good choice. Fingers crossed sample pot helps you finalise selection against your charcoal roof colour and lighting....See MoreDulux Exterior Render Colour - HELP NEEDED!!!

Comments (49)Hi there, re the fence my choice would be the same colour as house with either same colour slats or your window surfmist both would look classic, definately NO timber here. Because you are on a corner block I'd be planting a hedge inside the fence with something like Murraya asap, Jim Henson could advise. I would consider Pleaching them up to where the slats start so that you could under plant with something pretty, I'd also consider adding garden lights as per attached photo. plus I would also consider putting "Eye lid" down lights on the exterior posts of the fence, this could add great street appeal for your wonderful very large house (is your whole family moving in. The garage, either same as wall colour or Monument is my choice. cheers,...See MoreItalian Girl
