Considering my dad has turned the cupboard underneath the stairs into a wine cellar, the traditional and sophisticated man cave would be perfect for him!
The simple detached studio would make a great man cave as it's away from the main house. If the man cave gets messy, a blind could be pulled down or curtain pulled across and door closed behind. It would give the man (and his mates) some privacy and time away from everything to relax.
I much prefer the detached studio ... the most popular at this stage .... but as you are asking about a man cave I have to vote for the first option .... fitting out the man cave with its pool table and bar are already on the agenda!!
I know my Dad would just appreciate the back shed with the corry rusted out, a radio blaring on the wooden bench and a ton of oil stains all over the floor. He can then sit in his ripped old recliner and read his paper in peace and quiet, after he has tinkered with the old bomb car he dragged home out of a paddock. So none of these would suit him!
