It really depends on personal taste - for me, I have to say they are not my taste at all and don't work well in the space - but you must have had a look in mind when you chose them? And then again, something must have made you question them now...did it look different to what you imagined once it was done? Personally I would choose something not so bold or busy.

I think it's a great overall look but you're the one that has to live with it and enjoy it. You could always just live with it for a while to see if it feels comfortable. You have a stunning kitchen!

I like them. I think that they work with everything else in the kitchen.

Agree with bigreader. I like the colour of the tiles, maybe it's how they have been laid? Did you try mixing them up, so they weren't all running the same way? That might be a bit too trippy/psychodelic though. 8m is a long very dominant spalshback. I love your lights and it detracts from them.

Alpine mist CS is a warm grey with a very delicate vein... I'm struggling a bit to gel that look with the bold cement-grey and black tile pictured. However, subtle undertones often don't register accurately photos, so it might look completely different in real life. I did notice that under the window on the left hand side one? of the cut tiles looks to be positioned with the lines in the reverse direction. Hopefully that has been corrected for you. Looks like a lovely bright kitchen to cook in!

The more I looked, the more I got the style. I would add something with stripes on island to repeat pattern...maybe fabric on stools or a pot. I would paint walls before deciding on tiles removal or not.

What colour is the wall going to be?

Is there one tile under the window that is going a different way to the rest?

I think it'll look great and different when you've finished it all.

The tiles look superb, before you give up on them just paint the wall above with the charcoal gray as suggested by others and if you don't like the effect then I guess you will have to replace them. Bear in mind you will probably be putting blinds or something at the windows, which will also soften and detract from what seems to be staring you in the face right now.

I like them! I think you need some black on the back wall though. How about painting the window frames black? Or adding black blinds? Or doing that wall a dark charcoal colour as someone else suggested. There is a tile that needs fixing too.

Hi kyliewarren, I see lots of super helpful comments but please remember you chose the tiles because you liked them. This is your kitchen and other's opinons are just that, opinions. If people's comments have not turned you off the tiles, paint the wall a strong colour to match with the tiles, a dark grey or black to match the lamp shades. I can imagine you're feeling very stressed with lots of opposing comments. The tiler needs to correct the mistake with the mislaid tiles (the ones going in the opposite direction) but I would suggest painting the wall first before deciding you no longer like them due to everyone's strong comments. Siobhan Donoghue Design, it's one thing to like tiles - and no doubt Kyliewarren chose them because she liked them - but they have to suit the purpose. The tiles would no doubt look great somewhere else, but in this space, I still believe they are too bold. Kyliewarren clearly has doubts about them now they are in place, otherwise she wouldn't have posted on this forum.
