Roof advice sought: cape cod roof on "canberra red" brick house

We have an existing house built with Canberra Red bricks that we are adding an extension to so it will have a cape cod style roof (three dormer windows across the front and a long shed dormer across the rear). The roof has a pitch of 50 degrees, and it will look like there is *alot* of roof. Part of the roof will be broken up with very large deciduous trees in both the front and back yard.

At present we are looking at a tile roof (Monier Cambridge in Soho Night - very dark grey/almost black) and colourbond guttering in Monument, so that they are practically the same colour. We are not sure what colour to do the cladding that will be on the gables on each end of the house and also on the sides/front of the dormers? Our detached garage (slightly to the rear of the house, not that obvious from street) is Colourbond Paperbark with Wilderness roof and gutters.

Most cape cod style houses I've seen have the brick rendered or painted and it is the same colour as the cladding. We aren't able to do this, it must remain brick. The windows are going to be replaced with timber coloured ones (golden oak?), but they haven't been ordered yet, so colour could be changed.

My concern is that the house will have too many colours and look like a dogs breakfast.

We need to tell the builder in the next week or so, and no matter how long we discus it we can't come up with a solution!

Any suggestions would be gratefully received :)
