Hi chittering5 we used the 25.5cm lights. Our island bench is fairly small at approx 1800x900mm. I actually purchased 3 (at much better price than currently listed) but felt it was too many for the space when I mocked up the (widest) diameter of the lights with paper cut-outs. Trying to decide if I can use the 3rd light in the bathroom or something without it looking lonely....

Hi there, I agree with a lot of the suggestions above. Consider the textures, colours and finishes of your furnishings and artwork and think of the pendants as an opportunity to reiterate some of these. So for instance, if you have some black metal in the coffee table legs, you may bring in some of that in the kitchen pendants and look for say glass pendants with black fixtures. Coloured pendants are fun but they can date a lot quicker - bring in colour in the room through artwork, cushions and accessories.

It might be worth while to consider the rest of the space also. Your breakfast bar/kitchen is located quiet closely to your dining table so depending on your kitchen space (apologies, I can't see too much of your kitchen from the photo) you might want to think about the overall style you want to achieve for you entire open plan space, and select pendants that would work for both your kitchen and dining. This is a project I worked on recently that shows how two different types of pendants can work harmoniously in the one space that is most similar to your kitchen and dining set up. Keep us posted on what you decide!

If new fitting is lighter than current would not that be ok? Completely different alternative but poss not your look ... one of those floor lamps that curves right up and hovers above. Could sit in the corner. Just thinking outside the box. Still think a really light weight pendant may do the trick. Good luck.
