Comments (12)I've just been looking at your colours, I think the Dulux Dieskau would work the best with the other colours you have to work with, choosing colours is such a personal thing and I know it can be really hard to choose and hope you make the correct choice. Oskuee is right, a paint job can look terrible half way through so you need to make sure you finish to get the proper look of colour. But the biggest thing to remember is it's only paint and it's the cheapest thing to change so if your not happy with the colour you choose you can always try something else. Happy redecorating :)...See MoreLight or dark wood flooring
Comments (8)Haha Siriuskey! Twins are just fascinating :) Yes you are right about the smoky sapelle, but its quite dark (for me anyway!) Here is a link to the light colour that is very similar to Blackbutt https://www.quick-step.com.au/en-au/laminate/impressive-ultra/imu1847_classic-oak-beige?uf_FloorType=flooring_floortype/005_qs_laminate&uf_Thickness=120 Dark colour https://www.quick-step.co.uk/en-gb/laminate/majestic/mj3548_woodland-oak-brown Or really dark! https://www.quick-step.com.au/en-au/laminate/impressive-ultra/imu1849_classic-oak-brown?uf_FloorType=flooring_floortype/005_qs_laminate&uf_Thickness=120 PS This will open on to a Blackbutt deck at rear (which I will probably stain to match if I use a darker colour inside)...See MoreShould bathroom floor be dark or lighter than walls
Comments (9)Hi Reham Arnaout Generally the darker tile is better on the floor for the reasons mentioned above (not show the dirt etc.) and because it has more visual weight to 'ground' the room. Think about the natural light the space receives- too much dark tile on the walls will make the space dark and gloomy. Some light wall surfaces will help brighten the space. Best wishes...See MoreWhat wood laminate flooring color to use with honey oak.
Comments (2)If you were selling , are you sure you will recoup the extra $$$$ ? Get it wrong , and a potential buyer will walk and/or offer $50k less , whereas if you leave it as it is , they will know it needs replacing , offer $10k less , but you have gotten an offer ! Just me , but what I would do is rip up the fake tile lino in the foyer ( I assume it is lino -- it doesn't look to be 'proper' tiled ? ) , and do that in a darkish timber laminate -- slightly lighter than the front door , slightly darker than the stairs . Or go really dark -- almost a dark weathered grey or a similar dark brown to the drawer unit in the lounge -- the rest of the colourings will lighten it a bit , but it will all tie in . OR actually tile it , maybe a black or charcoal gloss marble or marble effect with lighter streaks through it ? The house and colourings look an older style , this continues that theme , but I feel white or beige tiles would look too bland . $2k max instead of $10k -- marble tiles may be more than $2k , but up to you ....See MoreDesigners WTF (Wild Taste and Fast-paced)
