Hi there, having recently been through a similar decision process for our Reno I can really recommend ordering the Dulux A4 samples. They are made with the real paint on them so you can move them around from room to room to see exactly what it will look like without having a heap of swatches painted on the wall. They have a sticker backing but I used blu-tac so 8 could move them over and over. Good luck

Just want to explain a little more about the idea behind the poll: I am just at the start of some projects, and I wanted simply to know which one of these prints was preferred out of some early print designs. I know there are a lot of good designers and prints out there (I have quite a few of them myself), but I think I have something to bring in the future of design decoration and it may not even be print design I will be doing in the future. I am trying to figure out how to go about some design choices and selections, and where my focus will be in the future. The choices I had was some of the very first designs I made a while ago, and a few of them recent ones. I have never attended design school, but I have always had great feedback on my own selection of products and decorations and advises given when working in design-related business. I have started making my designs a little different now as well. It all comes back to individual taste, but thanks for taking time to send your comments. Have a great day!

We did have a front door leading onto a small hallway. It was not used often. During the kitchen reno the wall between was knocked down, giving us extra space in the kitchen, and replacing the door with a window. Now however everyone uses sliding doors off various living areas, but there is no sense of "arrival", and yes nowhere to drop the keys, bags etc. Also, people who are not regulars are a bit bamboozled as to where they should "knock on the door". I am now trying to change an outdoor area off the driveway with pavers and plants to create an obvious and welcoming entrance.

I can see you have already had some great advice and if I offered my choice from the three it would be the middle one. But in truth, I personally wouldn’t have any of them as they just remind me of those ‘real fake’ pictures where a group Thai ‘artists’ each paint a part and pass it on, banging out 100 a day. I am pleased that some Thai family is in employment, just not sure about all the middlemen. For our wedding my wife and I asked all guest to donate whatever they felt they wanted toward a painting, we already had enough kettles. In the end we had enough to buy a painting each. I originally wanted to buy a picture that may go up in value and be something of an investment for my son. The gallery owner who helped us with our choice made this point, that when you choose something for an investment its worth remembering you should enjoy looking at the picture as well. We went with that advice first. I’m sure there must plenty of places where a genuine local artist would appreciate the purchase of their work in order to make a living. My plan when we finish our rebuild here in Christchurch is to fill our walls this way. But if you ended up with an abstract those links on doing one yourself looked interesting.
