Comments (22)I think it is because if the tap handle doesn’t overhang the sink then wet hands drip water over the bench behind the sink. I have an undermount sink with same issue due to required setback from sink and we are learning to shake hands before turning off tap. Pro for wall mount no gunk around base of tap Negative according to my husband who refused to have wall mounted is the tap connections are in wall so if you get any leaks it’s hard to fix. But this goes same for shower I guess. We did have a faulty basin tap that leaked inside the handle area and down into cabinet so had to get replaced so I didn’t-push for wall mounted again....See Morehelp..sink cutout in wrong place..do we get it corrected as per plan o
Comments (19)Hi Stephen Irby, urgent question for an old thread. I've been looking at the Oliveri sonetto single bowl with left hand drainer (1.2mm 18/10 304 grade) as I want a quality sink big enough for bakeware and large pots. I have existing cabinet constraints (600mm) for the bowl, and want to also install an inline filter to replace the puratap. Will this fit in with it? The cabinets are 600mm deep. Also Oliveri have been getting rather a bad rap in reviews regarding scratching, difficulty cleaning and even rust! Is the sonetto range made in Australia?...See MoreFurniture placement ideas
Comments (44)Hi Nutty Chocolate, I would place the furniture similar to what I have drawn - roughly, attached. I don't like to enter straight into the middle of a room and the space adjacent the garage is too small for the living area. Also, with the dining table at the end it can be set up really nicely to create a lovely dining area that with a small family can become the focus of your evening meals, and brunches in the weekends with minimal interruptions. Place the living furniture in as big a space as you can without making the circulation space too small. The back of the couch then defines the entry and you can either mirror that with another couch or two big armchairs to fill the space. Ideally you want the TV on the same wall as the windows so you don't get light reflections but you don't have enough space for that so put it and any other storage on the long solid wall. This leaves the circulation to the window side allowing easy access to the rear yard which is also good from the kitchen for summer barbecues etc. This makes the living space the central focus all day rather than having the dining area as just in the centre of all the comings and goings!! There is also the possibility of getting an internal door into the garage. Enjoy your new home. Christine....See MoreTilly
