HU, I've replied to old posts, sometimes the related questions that appear can be confusing and the date can be overlooked, it happens, I think many of us have done it, so don't worry about it. Thing is, if the original poster is no longer following and if other people looking for inspo are more likely to get advice by starting a question of their own than getting lost in an old discussion and if people willing to reply waste time reading through before noticing the question is 7 years old, and it brings it back to the first page making it more likely more people will mistake it for a recent discussion, I'm not sure how productive any of that is, so I appreciate the 'old post' advisory, and in that spirit since I've now added to the conversation I'll draw to others' attention that this is an OLD POST

What about snow in the Ceasarstone for other benches. I can't afford the nuvo however have come across porcelain maximum. Have a look in here for pics. It looks identical to marble and apparently is cheaper than Ceasarstone. I'm struggling to find anyone that has used this though for feedback. I did speak to a distributor here in Sydney and he says it's easier to clean and is heat resistant. Waiting on pricing from our stone person and if he's comfortable to cut it etc.

There is a great material called Forbo "desktop" furniture linoleum. It comes off the roll so can be made any size and has a great range of colours. It is also comfortable as a base to write on, We often use it to protect timber, painted or glass work surfaces in home office applications. Hi there, Some people are still using these and they are fine but it's less popular now. The only real issue is that they can damage easily as with more edges comes more weakness so chipping is an issue. A lot of my clients prefer to use a larger double bowl sink and have a drainer over the 2nd bowl. Speak to a good stonemason for their advice if this is a concern.
