When your partner chooses artwork you can't stand, do you...
Comments (44)I'd go with his choice, because even if it wasn't 'my' style, I'd rather feel like he's taking an interest and equally invested in our home together. Plus, if I'm being completely honest, I think his taste is probably better than mine. ;) He rarely has an opinion on anything house-related, so when he puts his foot down, I go along with it: and on each occasion, it's been exactly the right decision. Example: I wanted the whole house painted out in ecru and antique white because it looks awesome with oak floors and I'm kind of a minimalist. Hubby insisted on painting the lounge room in yellow. YELLOW. I thought he'd lost his mind... but I went with it, because I get my way 99.9% of the time, so why quibble about the 0.1%? He insisted that 'in Winter, you'll be glad we have this warm, cozy colour'. And you know what? Every Winter, I love that room. It's an odd duck compared to the rest of the house, but damned if it doesn't actually work surprisingly well. It'd definitely be too much to take as a house-wide theme - but contained as it is, it's pretty great....See MoreWhat does/n't your partner do that drives you nuts?
Comments (59)oskuee..pulling down his pants doesn't have the same effect though.. I'd rather leave him alone to wash my dishes.. if I hit him he'll say I'm a husband basher.. I go into work after hours as I get more done only when he's not around ..when he's around he causes havoc a squeeze here a fondle there..thank goodness we haven't had to have the security camera tapes reviewed lol even when his staff is around he'd pull me in between the shelves then poke his head out to see if anyone is watching lol or worse still into the back of the shop close the door and monitor his staff from the computer screen lol I can't win.. at night I can't sleep as I'd get into bed fall asleep and he'd fiddle with me any hours of the night.. if I fall asleep after he does I can't sleep as he snores.. result is me walking around like a zombie hehehe his sisters and nieces thinks I'm lucky as he adores me..there are days I just want to find him a second wife so he can annoy her half the week lol so now I'm half the week away..so for three nights I get proper sleep..can't function without sleep I'll crash .....See MorePOLL: Have your pets influenced your home improvement 'style?'
Comments (6)We have two cats that are indoor pets. Sadly the male took a jaunt outside and got a few sctratches and tears from a large neighbour cat. He began territorial peeing on any cushion, stray coat, laundry basket, no matter it was on top of a piano or speaker or even a bed. Our piano varnish ruined, so very much washing.. (Thank God for Nature's Miracle). Now we have to keep him incarcerated in the laundry area which has an enclosed porch and cat tree and so forth. He comes in for supervised visits and we take him outside every other day to run and play. When we move we will be planning an area specifically for him. It's so sad as we never would treat him like this if he could break the habit, but we've tried everything and he's hooked like an addict. He isn't as happy as he used to be....See MoreHave you ever used your dishwasher for storage?
Comments (10)Personally I don't store our clothes to be washed in a few days, and our dishes are just as important to our family health, so dishes get washed and or at least rinsed, is what you get up front.. Guests are welcome to use the dishwashe,r we can easily connect it, so far no problems for them either. I wash, sometimes they dry their choice.Everyone is different I love that....See More- 7 years ago
