need help for space and light in new one bedroom apartment
Comments (5)I agree, a unified floor will help with the feeling of a bigger, uninterrupted floor. I think the white on walls is fine, although I also think a soft but warmer tone might be suitable so the ambience is still warm and inviting. I can see an angled wall that appears lighter than the left of kitchen, I would hang a large mirror on this wall, to create a false room beyond, the angle will help reinforce this idea, and is a nice touch to a dining area, however informal. I would also take your lounge and try to position it facing your window. I assumes there's one in the far end we cannot see, the sofa could be away from the island back creating a walkway, and consider relocating your sideboard below it elsewhere. I can imagine it even along the back of the sofa as a console table, a lamp on top would create the perfect scenario for night reading and ambient light....See MoreNeed Help for my lounge colour in our apartment.
Comments (2)Hi sue gary ross Lovely natural relaxed choices. Go with that thought and use sea colours- aqua, mid blue, pale green and navy. Pop in some grey tones to ground the whole thing - that will connect with your new sofa. Add some metallic pieces for texture and bling. Have fun....See MoreSpace saving ideas from studio apartment
Comments (8)Thanks Uyenvy Le, this is a rental so we weren't given dimensions, but I did manage to find a floor plan on their rental website. The way they have suggested layout doesn't allow much storage at all! Thanks bigreader, yeah I hav a heap of clothes to give away or sell on gumtree, it's the big furniture items that we have to be careful with selection. I'm not sure if a three seater is a good suggestion like what they indicated below....See MoreNeed help laundry/bathroom and studio
Comments (9)Thanks Oskuee,. I don't use bench space in laundry now as fold washing on my bed as this is central to all bedrooms and linen cupboard. I was looking at, along the 2700 wall: gap for ironing board and clothes horse, stacked washer dryer, sink with drain board, tall 600 cupboard with shelves. Under sink have a tilt out hamper and a cupboard for buckets. Above sink a shelf and a pull down/out/across clothes line. I currently have a massive drop down clothes line, 18m of line, in the laundry which will take a full load. It is on a pulley system and is very useful, albeit home made so not so attractive,. I will miss it sorely and need an alternative for family of 5...See MoreJennifer !
