How many pendant lights for kitchen island bench

Hi Guys
We are having a 2.5m x 1.4m kitchen bench and I am wondering how many pendants we should put in? We are looking at either a 30cm diameter pendant or a 46 diameter pendant.

I actually purchased 3 (at much better price than currently listed) but felt it was too many for the space when I mocked up the (widest) diameter of the lights with paper cut-outs. Consider the textures, colours and finishes of your furnishings and artwork and think of the pendants as an opportunity to reiterate some of these. So for instance, if you have some black metal in the coffee table legs, you may bring in some of that in the kitchen pendants and look for say glass pendants with black fixtures. Comments (6)Too much to have a couple of pendants over each space. A large statement pendant over the dining table with complementary but discrete pendants over the island might be ok.
