Hi all,
We are in the midst of pulling our plans together and I am trying to understand if we really do need to lower the joists in our new bathroom areas so that the tiles transition at the same level as the timber.
We currently have timber suspended floor (bare), and will be making one room a bathroom, and doing new hard-wood floors on top through-out the rest of the home. Is there a way to raise the height of the hard-wood floor rather than have to drop the tiled floor so that the areas are the same level for smooth transition between the two materials?
What would be more cost-effective?
Hope that makes sense - thanks in advance wise-ones.
