Well, I guess you first need to think what you really want to use the space for. Will it be your main TV viewing area? (If so, I'd cosy it up with a big rug first). It's a shame to use it as a TV area though, since that means blocking off the sliding doors with furniture. I'm guessing at the moment you don't need as a little kids play area or teenagers homework area - but how about a home office, or even gym/workout area? (There's a great article on Houzz today about making smart home gym spaces: [https://www.houzz.com.au/magazine/step-up-your-workout-zone-with-10-simple-additions-stsetivw-vs~39722244[(https://www.houzz.com.au/magazine/step-up-your-workout-zone-with-10-simple-additions-stsetivw-vs~39722244).) Or, given, the sliding doors and tiles, how about a conservatory? An indoor herb garden, with some orchids, ferns and maybe even a small palm? Do you have a craft or hobby that could use a dedicated area? I'm thinking artistic types would love to turn the space into a mini studio - or I could let the person with whom I share my life play with his car parts there . . . (tiles! easy to clean up!) Of course, whichever option you choose for the space, I'd keep the cat climbing frame and snuggle-pod!

The next one - the Scandi/Industrial one is to build and sell. The one after, 'should ' be the last one - the forever house. Re: the shipping container. We did do all the work ourselves - well my husband fitted out the container and an attached caravan in two weeks! At the conclusion of the build of the house pictured, we put the whole lot up for sale and ended up selling it to a family that was doing the same thing in country NSW. We've started a business called Container Homes R Us with the plan to make little homes for people, not so much houses made of shipping containers - cause in our opinion, that costs more than just building a standard home but making it look like a container. We probably couldnt start anything till next year though, which gives customers time to think about their design.

Dee re the sink in the laundry in my previous plan, I was hoping that the vanity basin might do double duty? But I must say that if the powder room can be kept separate that is my first choice . If the laundry can become a European Laundry cupboard under the stairs that would be excellent. Your lovely old terrace needs to keep as much open space as you can achieve as this along with the new extension will allow important light iback nto this space and by tucking the laundry under the staircase works towards this I just saw that you are having my favourite bathroom layout with the Japanese Shower bath set up, well done
