How would you design/ decorate this room
Comments (4)If you mount the tv I think you'd need a unit that runs nearly the full length of the wall, the current one looks a little too small. I quite like the rug & feature wall together but the rug does look a little small for the space. Otherwise if you are wanting to change the colour of the wall then grab a larger rug to co-ordinate with it. It's a bit hard to suggest colours, can you advise your style preference & whether you were wanting to paint the whole room? Are the side walls a pale green? Also could you add a picture from the perspective of the lounge or a room sketch so we can see the shape /space you have available to place the seating in. Your 'bones' are good from what I can see though :)...See MoreNeed advice on paint colours and placement of furniture
Comments (4)@girlguides, I believe that is how the current owner has their furniture. LCS, did you mean to include pic of house plan? If your furniture is lighter neutrals like in the houzz photo examples, an idea might be to paint the wainscotting in a grey perhaps which would help balance the redness in the floors. A neutral that will work well with other neutrals. The lighter colour furniture would then "lift" the look. You could do then do the walls in a lighter colour and keep doors and windows white....See MoreNeeding advice on colour combination in kitchen

As with these images indicate, using a darker colour on your overhead cabinets can work when choosing the right colour and placement and so I encourage you to go with what you like....See MoreAdvice on bedroom
Comments (1)Hi Jeanine, If you want to follow on with similar colours to your lounge, I love pure white bedding and then blend colours with cushions and luxurious throws, floating bedside tables are great and pendant lighting is beautiful....See Moresnf10
