We have a loungeroom with several windows all of which have white plantation shutters. Also in the room is a 6 panel stacker door? Suggestions for what to do over the stacker door?
That's a hard one. My initial thought was to pop a roller-blind above the stacker doors, (that's what we have done and it works well) but with no other blinds in the room this may not look that good. What about drapes that hang on either side of the stacker doors - is there room? Can they be hooked back somehow to the side? This would add a softer element and introduce a new colour or texture that would look lovely with the plantation shutters. Hard to comment further without a photo.
what we would recommend, and we have done many times successfully, is put roller blinds on the doors (need to be installed above architrave) and then a soft sheer over this for daytime privacy and to reduce the harshness. A 6 stacker door is a large expanse of glass and blockout blinds will assist with the thermal efficiency of the room.
