Need help with main bathroom layout
Comments (6)have you considered not having a separate laundry, why do washing machines deserve their own rooms? Combine it with the bathroom, unsure what is happening outside so can't comment on how it would impact the flow around the building....See MoreNEED BATHROOM LAYOUT HELP FOR NEW BUILD
Comments (11)my suggestion includes a free standing or set in bath up to 1800 x 800 (the "overhang" would be a feature not a restriction) and any gap between the set in bath and the walls can be filled in with an extended tiled ledge, twin 900 x 500 or an 1800 wide double vanity with matching mirrored wall cabinet, a 1200 x 800 shower and the toilet tucked behind the door with a generous window over the bath, subject to view and privacy, a window down as low as the bath with plantation shutters for privacy could work very well in the alcove...See MoreBathroom layout help - awkward space at bathroom
Comments (5)Yes thank you for your thoughts. the room is 2.8 (with window) vs 3.4m. I do find it a bit annoying too as I don't like that you open the door and see straight away into the shower (though I'm certain the door would have a lock). I'm sure they lined the bath up to be with the window as visually that looks better, but then I find the space at the end annoying. I like the alternative drawings (I like three of them lots!) and I had been considering an drop in bath built wall to wall rather than a freestanding but also finding it frustrating to find a really nice supportive bath and there are less drop in baths than freestanding around at the moment which is a bit annoying. Thanks Anna for the picture, that helps as that looks good (though we would have more space at either end, 50cm) and I prefer the look of yours with some space but not as cavenous... I think I might have to have a talk with my husband as we really need to work out what to do!!...See MoreHelp with bathroom laundry layout
Comments (14)if the downstairs ceiling will be 3m then the stairs will not fit across the 4m and it would be better to have the stairs run along the length of the building to allow enough space for enough steps plus the 1m entry and exit top and bottom but the bed could still be positioned against the short wall...but i'm wondering if all of your new shed is over 6m tall or just the space over the living area...our shed house has living quarters at single level attached to a big shed with a loft...See MoreMichelle W
