How many mtrs (approx) of broadloom carpet (4mtrs wide) would I need for a runner 67cm wide .. we have 14 treads and 15 rises, stairs are standard size.. no landings or returns
Hi. Does the carpet have a pattern that you need to allow for when cutting or is it solid colour? Also, I know you said stairway is standard, but standard can vary. It's best to measure, using a tape measure, the depth of the treads and the height of the riser and multiply that out. I would also recommend you consult the carpet supplier salesperson to calculate the amount required so you don't order to little or too much. If there is no pattern to consider, you can probably cut the 4m wide carpet into 5 strips. Hope this helps.
when there are already ready made runners available i wonder at teh economy of cutting broadloom that would then need to be edged and joined...consult a carpet supplier for a proper quote for supply and install a runner and cost of edging suitable broadloom before making any decision ("standard" sizes of risers and treads might result in a difference of about 2m ignoring any wastage involved in cutting the pieces to hide the joins and etc)
