What colour floorboards and recommendation
Comments (23)Thanks for the feedback all... Here are some samples and it just shows how important to see them in the actual environment. Looks a little too dark even with a lot of light the longer plank is embelton brand and the other two are colonial quickstep. The two darker boards are already showing the hand prints. The embelton board (Belmont dark) was slightly cheaper albeit they had a special on that coloured board, so it should come in around $32 Sqm for the different colours. I'm almost sold on embelton as the look and feel is more advanced to the colonial. I'd love to go with real timber but this isn't my dream house, plus I have concerns that it would be truly appreciated based on the area I live. I'm aiming for a hybrid coastal look and just finished the walls in antique hamptons, so re painting in the short term isn't desired. In the pics the Belfort dark looks fantastic c but maybe I aim for La Mancha or maple in the embelton range...See MoreHELP REQUIRED!! Styling HOME THEATRE ROOM!!
Comments (14)Dianna, I haven't read the other comments yet, but the first thing I would do is add a large rug in dark colour/s on your shiny tiles and a dark runner on your glass coffee table. The glossy tiles and your glass table are light reflective and those are things you want to temper in a theatre room. As far as what to hang on the walls, definitely some art. My first choice would be movie posters, framed in matte black and with non-reflective glass. That's what I have in mine. IF you don't plan to have another theatre room in your next abode, then some nice prints that you like. I would still frame them in matte black. Might be just me, but I don't think cushions really belong in a theatre room, u less they are large floor cushions, of course. A throw or two is always welcome, esp this time of year. Best wishes!...See MoreExterior Colour Consultant Required - Mornington Peninsula, Victoria

Comments (7)Your apartment looks like it may have some Art Deco cornices, and with your beautiful gold drinks trolley and coffee table, I would use those pieces as your starting point. One large print/painting above lounge, with some gold in it, may look nice. Take the picture off the entry half wall, and place it on the slim wall opposite. Maybe in a new gold frame. I would put the gold drinks trolley on other other side of door, so it is a feature when entering home. With that wonderful bright art work above it. Is that a printer on the floor. If it is, it's probably a wifi printer, which can be placed anywhere in the apartment. Purchase a small Solid bookcase, to put this printer on. You could put your books and mail in this bookcase as well. Remove or items from the entry wall. Find a gold vase or sculpture for that wall, nothing else. You have to be strict with yourself in a small apartment. Do not leave things on dining table, or on the floor, find a home for them. Clear surfaces = clear mind. (Well, that's how I work, anyway)...See MoreCelery. Visualization, Rendering images
