I went online to the bathstore but difficult to find. Thanks.

Bathstore are solely for the shower trays, bath and tapware. www.bathstore.com. The floor tiles are the same colour as the wall tiles, it's just the light coming through the window that shows the different variants of the stone. It is Perlato Olympo Limstone. This project was in the UK, so not sure whereabouts you are? These were purchased from Devon Stone (http://devonstone.com) but any good stone company will either stock it or at least source it for you.

Having experienced a leaking shower, a step down sounds like a welcome added precaution, which seems rarely done. Supposedly if there is no hob or atepdown there is an angle, and obviously the whole thing is supposed to slope towards the drain anyway, but BeachBathrooms' earlier comment about capillary action rings true. It became obvious very quickly in our other shower that water was creeping across the grout outside the shower so whatever was meant to be done either wasn't or wasn't correctly done. Then there's the modern hotel bathrooms I've experienced where the water simply splashes out too easily. All in the name of style.

Kate, are you able to post a picture of the internal bathroom that you say is too sterile. I also am having an internal bathroom and trying to decide tile heights. I have been given two different sets of advice on what to do. Feature tile is above a vanity with a round mirror skewed To left of vanity. My bathroom is only 1.55m deep. Tiles will be vertically stacked on feature wall using vanilla Brickart tile. Tile shop says to take feature tile to wall height of 2.7m and wrap it around walls just section where vanity is and then wall height in shower and no other tiles on wall. Tiger says to ceiling will be too much. Feature tile is creamy pale grey above timber vanity. It is always easier to decide what looks good for someone else as compared to self.

Tile over, microcement or sheeting to cover shower walls and floor?

HI Robyn. We put the microcement over our ceramic tiles. They did have to grind them back a bit as they weren't level unfortunately. The microcement is only 2-3mm thick and can be applied over a number of different surfaces, but if you take up your floor boards the level probably would go down a lot. Where are you located?

I should of urgently mentioned before. WHY has the tiler put the narrower tile on the top of the hob. This should be the widest tile, and the side tiles go under that top tile. The way that those tiles have been laid is just opening up for a whole lot of mould wanting to cling to the grout on the top of hob. I have drawn this sketch and a photo to explain.

Hi Tracy thanks for your email. The bathtub were an own brand by a company called the Bathstore.com back in the UK quite some time ago now. I'm not sure where you are based but many companies do similar products, we tend to use a lot of Duravit or Kaldewei. Let me know if there is anything else we can help with. Kind regards Anne
