Need help on choosing type of Blind
Comments (12)Not sure why Helioscreen said that the 3m may sag as they have blinds up to 4.2m wide - but the tube is a heavier duty tube (120mm diameter). We have installed blinds from Vertilux with 3.2m, 3.4m and 3.6m widths without any sagging - but you need to choose the right fabric. We have one example on our Houzz site and another on our Facebook site. Feel free to contact Vertilux directly. If you need contact details then let us know....See MoreWhat's in your home? Comments (15)I love rollerblinds for their neat, sophisticated look. Venetians are a nightmare to clean... x) Plantation shutters are worth the investment. Low maintenance and good in wet areas where fabrics/wood may not be so good. I have a mix of plantation shutters and rollerblinds, with a few curtains. :)...See MoreRoller Blind Dilemma
Comments (7)Hi, are you wanting the blinds to give privacy, block light or filter sun or make a design statement. Do you really need this blind as it is ok to leave some windows undressed depending on your answer to the above question. Multiple blinds on one window tend to be a bit unsatisfactory in terms of blocking light and keeping in the warmth. If you are in a cold climate, a curtain is preferable with a double track with a light filtering sheer that can be pulled back to allow access. This may however not fit with the rest of the room or the look you were going for. It may be a good idea to bring in a consultant but remember you can purchase made to order blinds online and save heaps. They send samples for you to check colour etc. Depending on your window style - if you have modern box frames inside the box looks neater but lets in more light. The online companies usually give advice on how to measure for the different styles of blinds. Good luck...See MoreWhat sort of blinds and what colours???
Comments (12)I have a similar family room, with big windows and a sliding door and we have block out Roman blinds on them. They sit at the top of the windows most of the time as we don't have any privacy issues with being looked in at by the neighbours. We really only put them down at night in the winter. Ours have a creamy coloured background with taupy wavy lines on them. Very neutral. I never could have imagined that's what I wanted til I saw the fabric. Good luck I'll see if I can find a photo to post....See MoreJulie Herbert
