I personally love a king size in a master but they can look too big in some rooms. This may be the case here too, especially with your chosen bed. However as long as you have enough room to move around it you will be comfortable in that regard. If you were to go king I would suggest looking at a bed with just a bed head or a separate bed head with ensemble as this will not dominate the room room to much and make it feel smaller. Then find side tables that are floating or light in structure with open legs so you can see through to the wall. Good luck

Ryan I would avoid the concrete block bedsides, they are a very literal interpretation of industrial and I don't think they will go very well with that bed. I would suggest you go for a really dark charcoal grey feature wall, and I would consider metal framed window style mirror such as the one attached - ideally around the same width as your mattress ends up being or as close to that width as possible. I would use white brick or whitewash distressed plaster style wallpaper on the rest of the room. And if you felt up to it I would consider whitewashing your floorboards. Lighting - I would have 1 pendant on either side of the bed hanging down from the ceiling, so they are directly above the bedsides. You could either suspend from ceiling or fit them on little hooks or similar on the walls like the attached images. For bedside I would go for something a bit more like the attached image - black metal frame and warm wood. However its hard to advise as looking at the image of the bed, the bedhead is much wider than the bed and you don't really want bedsides that are wider than that bedhead or its going to look a bit odd. It will be a tight squeeze so something super slim that is same width as the bedhead (from bed to edge) or alternatively consider a floating shelf type bedside that sits above the bedhead. (depends on how much storage you need here or if its just to sit books on). And colour wise, definitely stick black, white, greys and maybe small hint of something like mustard/ochre or rust. Use bedding and throw pillows to add texture and layers. Enjoy!

I think there is something wrong with the scale of the vase and the lamp on your chest of drawers. You have two different items, one on each side but they are not identical so it is not working for me. It has been said that we should go for an uneven number of items when decorating, unless we are going for symmetry. if you are going to keep the vase I would suggest getting some flowers and giving the room some color. You have a nice room, I am sure it will work out. I think some objects on the bedside tales would help to warm up the space. I would get bedsides, as other posters have suggested, that are on legs, ie off the floor as the current ones feel heavy. I think one or two indoor plants would soften the room.

Hi Natalie, we are doing a very similar layout but a little smaller (4000 x 2700) my biggest issue was dealing with the heights of the windows because the ones on the front are tall and narrow and the side one is wide and too high to put the vanity on it. also we couldnt swap them over because we cant move the plumbing over. but I think it is going to be a good resolution.
