Hi kazb74 - are you able to show a photo of the bathroom and the tiles you are wanting to use? White grout can become problematic as far as showing dirt/mould better than any other colour etc but I believe those issues can be alleviated with grout sealant & good ventilation (window/mechanical). Might be worth getting a second opinion? I'm no expert but would you consider using a different tile altogether for a 'feature' wall?

That looks really nice kazb74 :) I'm just wondering if the patterned wall should have a grey grout while your other 3 walls have the white grout for a more seamless look? It looks like a grey grout in that inspiration pic - and it looks great! I think the different grout on your patterned wall and the white grout on the your brick tile on the other 3 walls could look schmicko! :)

haha! Go with your gut kaz :) I think some tilers can offer great suggestions - personally, I didn't have a very good experience with our last tiler so we ended up paying him for work done - only to have the job completed by someone else. The first tiler was very unprofessional, condescending, rude and belittled my hubby's choice of tile, grout, layout - you name it, everything. He was very moody, hot headed and showed up hungover and vomiting off our deck - UGH!!! Fifty shades of gross!!!! I didn't think it quite right that my young son and I should have to walk around on eggshells around him while my hubby was working away in Brisbane so in the end, he was paid - we said thanks and goodbye. To save any kerfuffle this end - we never told him what the issue was - just that something cropped up for us - we didn't need the drama. The tiler that finished the job for us was lovely, professional, competent and gave great suggestions :) Couldn't have asked for better. Hopefully that's not the feeling you're getting from your tiler - but if you have any red flags going up - go with someone else :) I'd love to see photos once the job is done :) Hopefully one of the pro's will come on here and offer their opinion kaz so you can be sure :)

After cleaning our subway tile/white grout bathroom for a few months we went with large white tiles in main bathroom with one wall of feature tiles. Much less work. Even with grout sealer we have discolouration in the shower area (and epoxy white grout used elsewhere has also yellowed a bit). I think you would get a much fresher/less busy result if you use the patterned subway layout with light grey grout to highlight the pattern on one wall and large white tiles (eg. 300x600) with white grout on the other walls.
