Saw this on the internet recently-

Has anyone any experience with such an stainless steel countertop edge profile? I imagine it will be much cheaper to build since you don't have to pay a steel fabricator to cut, bend and weld the edges like they usually do. Once the steel is glued to the plywood, I expect the edge will be sealed with epoxy/polyurethane or something.

Even so, I wonder how these edges hold up over time...whether moisture is likely to still get in some how, maybe causing the steel to come away from the plywood for instance.

Anyone seen this method in use before and/or have any comments on it?
