Hi, thanks for the question, the cones are Yew (Taxus Baccata). We purchased these at this size, approx. 2.5m off memory. This photo was taken about 3 months after planting.

Exactly! Make sure you install good drainage and watering for them though and an outside socket at the back for the Christmas lights.
Pea shingle under the root ? Socket already there, light up at night, and switch to fairy lights at chritmas.
