Elevation colours! Help!
Comments (5)If you decide to go with a timber garage, you may like to consider a timber front door in the same stain to tie the two together. If you do the fascia and guttering in a darker grey and then the feature tile, planter box and window frames in the same/similar colour you will create more contrast with the lighter render. alternatively do the roof the darker grey and keep the guttering and fascia a similar colour to the render. if you are really after a pop of colour, you could try an earthy orange around the edges of the tiling and on the planter box. hope this helps. I used to advise on external colour for a builder and the more striking facades had contrasting hues of the same colour with the occasional pop of colour if you are brave. Remember if you get sick of a render colour it's much easier to change than tiles or the steel....See MoreNeed help in colour choices for whole house re do. Looking very bland
Comments (8)I like the colours you have, it's actually a clever colour pallet, that flows nicely. Greys/cool colours are on trend now, but won't be forever, and nor are they suited to every house. I really can't see a grey against the tiles. Lots of scope to dress this up with rugs, art, plants, light fittings. That's where I'd be spending my $$....See MoreBalcony – from bland to grand
Comments (13)Thanks very much Annb1997 Yes there are sliding doors the full length of the balcony and that is a privacy screen but you can see the view through it at a certain angle. The reason we chose that slim line table was not to take away from the view. So yes I agree with you regarding the type of furniture I will pick. I do like the idea of grouping chairs with a smaller table, to give it a more relaxed feel. Yes we do bbq and have one down by the pool area but I'm hoping to get one for this balcony. We have another balcony directly underneath this one with daybeds and dining table/chairs. That balcony was easier to furnish as the view is just district as opposed to this view being water as well as district. I'm just not sure what way to place the current table, its currently extended to seat 12....See MoreHow to overcome blandness
Comments (9)We agree with the commenters above - that wall is perfect for some amazing art! The little hints of mustard and mid century details that you've already incorporated would pair great with a graphic rug - a few suggestions: https://www.designerrugs.com.au/rug-collections/designer-collaborations/bleux-neighbourhood/berlin/ https://www.designerrugs.com.au/rug-collections/designer-collaborations/id-collection/emergence-by-louise-mcgregor/ https://www.designerrugs.com.au/rug-collections/designer-collaborations/bernabeifreeman/folk/ https://www.designerrugs.com.au/rug-collections/designer-collaborations/greg-natale-carpet/milano/ https://www.designerrugs.com.au/rug-collections/designer-collaborations/dinosaur-designs-series-1/the-kiss/ https://www.designerrugs.com.au/rug-collections/designer-collaborations/dinosaur-designs-series-1/sticks/ https://www.designerrugs.com.au/rug-collections/in-house-collections/saffron/aztec-summer-azure/ https://www.designerrugs.com.au/rug-collections/in-house-collections/browse-all-in-house/eden/...See Moreme me
