On second thought, placing your dining table in front of the kitchen would probably look best... adding your chandelier will also provide gorgeous interest when you enter your house.

We're you planning to have a sofa and or Tv in the family room, next to the dining table? It will be a bit tight, as well as wall space being limited for the TV.

The living/ media room opens to the dining/family. I thought of doing as you suggested but I’m just worried that since it’s a formal dining, it won’t be utilise much as we use the island bench more often. Do you think it will take too much space if I’ll put it infront of the island bench? Also I’m thinking of fitting a 3 seater sofa and 2 armchairs, no tv in the dining/family room.

I suggest printing off your plan and drawing your furniture on to scale. Allowing for at least a metre between things like the island and table, sofa etc , it will be hard to fit everything in. The room has a lot of doorways etc that need access space. You could perhaps have the dining table in front of the island and then a couch facing the island but is this enough seating? The other thing to consider is what dining seats you have and how much space they take up, both in and out from the table.

Im with JE C... if you drawn up your furniture to scale & cut it out... then you can play around with furniture placement on your plan until you get the right fit :)
