Comments (3)Thank you philippawright and oklouise for your suggestions, we already have a study which we utilise as a home office. Perhaps the suggestion of a guest suite may be an option, the only issue is that the room is open to main the hallway, we could however introducing French doors for privacy? Comments (10)If you have this many seats, I'm assuming you use them all for guests..? I would take the sofa on the far right corner and the sofa on the right next to the entry way, right angle them up with the black sofas so they are in front of the credenza and mirror the chairs in front of the windows. Then move the credenza to the center of the entry way so that it greets you when you walk in (but make sure there is plenty of room to walk past it) with one of your large floral displays on top. A large rug in the center with the coffee table to anchor the space. Keep styling on the coffee table low to avoid blocking faces while sitting. Replace bulbs with a warm white, those are too cold. Cushions and rug, keep to light greys with varying patterns and texture. One track to run along the whole wall with those lovely windows with sheers or a nice taupe curtain will soften the look and add some drama when they are pulled. This will allow you to keep the social togetherness of the chairs but with more intimacy and finished result....See MoreSeeking advice on floor plan layout for kitchen, dine, study & lounge
Comments (35)I mentioned earlier to think about dropping the wall next to the stairs to hip or slightly higher height to allow for the TV, as this would further open up the top floor and perhaps show the street art, ie the framed print. I know that you don't want anything else hanging from the ceiling but because of the ceiling height you will need a reverse hanging fan to bring all the warm air down into the room that will sit up there if you don't. The heater is because you had one shown in your posted floor plan, this is one of the fires available on my 1997 CAD program, that's the colour it comes in but can be changed within the program cheers...See MoreFront Formal lounge
