With your budget constraints, I agree, go for the charcoal remnant, why not try to spruce it up a bit -,see if they can do the trim in the 'cherry blossom pink' to compliment the scheme! Splash some brilliant white paint on the top of your existing coffee table to contrast against the charcoal and add some matching (pink / patterned and textured) scatter cushions or a throw. It will be stunning! Good luck whatever you decide!

Thanks Lockmac, looks like you have master and en-suite before living room so prob a good 5 metres of hall or more at 1.8 wide before you meet living room. That is a great greeting space. You can then narrow to 1.5 outside living room. The 300 mm would be better used in that room than hall, the walls u circled for me. You should also add doors, perhaps large glass sliding door, to the living room as I note it has a tv and sound travels. My biggest regret is not having a door on my living room of the family/kitchen due to noise issue and sadly can’t add one due to several constraints. Thankfully I did add doors to hallway leading to bedrooms both for privacy and noise control.

I'll be even stronger than Kate -- the colours are all over the place ! Literally every item is a different colour ! Lets start with an imaginery empty room . The wall colour is okay , but the sconces actually makes the wall colour look more yellow . I like the warmth of timber , but as they are timber , can they be stained darker , or are they varnished and won't take a stain ? Depending on other colours you want to highlight , just a mid brown or a cedar would be my choices , but ideally you'd then want to change the blinds to the same natural timber look too . You could possibly even do the sconces in white to match the blinds -- a crisp white is still bland , but better than the existing tone , and saves changing the blinds . Okay , so you have either a room with a TV and some warm wood tones ; or a TV and beige and white . Then , do you want black furniture , or blue , or green , or white , or mid-tone wood , or light tone wood , or glass , or pink -- because you literally have 1 item of each right now ? Or do you start again , and go red or wheat or royal blue or sunny yellow or black or leather ? Decide on a theme , get almost everything in that tone . THEN you accessorise -- the pink or mustard or similar , but again keep almost all the accessories in that tone . Make sense ?
