HELP :) Advice on kitchen plans and how to start our reno??
Oooh la la! Very swish :) Looks beautiful.
Woah! What a transformation. Well done.
Was this a DIY job or did you have help? Curious to know :)
Love it!!! Wow factor.......you certainly nailed it.
Such an amazing transformation! Congratulations on such an achievement. Love the dark tones
I am not a black fan but must admit with that floor it looks amazing, well done, you have a good eye for it.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
Fantastic job! I love that you have opted for a black kitchen as I try to get my clients to push their boundaries a little. Not always successful, haha. Your new kitchen is smart as a whip and elegant to boot. Lovely job. Are the countertops Cararra or Calacutta or something else? I recently finished a black kitchen with white waterfall countertops, smoked glass splashback, and copper door handles. Black is the new black :-) Cheers, Penelope
Too dark and not enough natural light
As I have posted ealier, dark cabinets are polarising- you either love them or not. Thanks for your comment.
Nice work, well done!
Love the reno. On first glance at the before pics I thought it was my kitchen! 14 years old and black granite counters and timber cabinets with Tas Oak floor. I am looking at a change to white cabinets, keeping the black granite as too good to waste and sand and dark stain on the floor as it has yellowed over time. I made a start...bought a new light fitting from Beacon!! You have a stunning kitchen now. Is that a pantry in the corner on the lh side?
Wow! That is one fantastic pantry! I am going to build a small one, just enough to have floor to ceiling shelves on two walls. Nothing as elaborate as yours. Have you renovated the rest of your house Tracey?
I hope you post all the before and after pics here for us all to see. Sounds like a huge task but you are smashing it!
WOW. Splash back and Benchtops are Stunning. Butlers pantry, to die for! 10/10
Beautiful butler's pantry, Tracey. I love how you have kept the arched window and successfully added plantation shutters. The photos you have posted s far are just gorgeous :-) congratulations. Can't wait to see more. Cheers, Penelope
No apologies needed, happy to answer and thank you for your compliment. We imported all our appliances, sink ware and tapware and sourced bathroom fittings also. The costs below include all trades (plumbing, electricians, plasters, tilers, chippies, wooden flooring) that we used and 2pac cabinetry, vanities, all stone (bathrooms, kitchen, laundry, pantry). In total our renos cost (for laundry, kitchen, powder room, butlers pantry changing a family bathroom into a new bathroom and ensuite) $145, 359.47. The kitchen and pantry portion of this was $62, 919.41- (excluding appliances sinks and tapware). We did make structural changes to the room next to the kitchen, to make the butlers pantry and to a large, unused family bathroom. We saved costs by doing all the demo and painting ourselves, some labouring and importing appliances.
Hope that helps :)

The window and covering were always there, hidden away in the unused playroom aka junk room! I have worked the house scheme around them. I have been told that the wood is dated, (I love them) but no money in the budget to put in 54 new white plantation shutters :))
So sleek and classy!. I don't usually love black kitchens, but as others have said, with that floor, it looks amazing. Well done!
Absolutely stunning, well done!
