Hi Jayrees, I totally agree with what Kat had to offer, I would suggest a non geometric pattern on the rug as the floor is already geometric, a light colour and subtle pattern if you prefer a pattern. The mirror should definitely be moved and I would consider a large light print to compliment the new rug and and drapes. It's a pity that the window screen blocks the view (it's a nice view) but the heavy screen is a necessity these days, I would remove the stickers from the glass to help with the openness. Just noticed that you have an air con in the room so you may be able to remove the screen.

If you are in New Zealand, I have often found great lights (and a big range) at Lighting Plus. I would remove the globe, then with hot soapy water wash the entire outside of glass pendant and if your hand can fit, the inside as well. Maybe even a quick spray of a cleaning product like Ajax spray and wipe to get the grease off the outside, before wiping over the entire glass pendant. Obviously you will need a ladder to stand on to reach pendant safely. Make sure the glass is room temperature, not hot.

I think the light suits the design , and agree that 2 would look better -- the problem you have now though is that , even if you connect the wiring together for both lights ( so the existing wiring is all that is needed ) , is that you will need 2 new holes in the ceiling ( that top fitting covers them ) BUT you will end up with a hole where the existing wire comes through . On a new build , if you fill it , or even cut out a larger square and get a whole new cut-to-size panel in there and plaster and paint , its possible you'll see the different paint colours , and possibly the filler shrinks or gets a little dimple . Its do-able , but its time consuming ( $$$ ) to get it correct now . In other words , it will be at least in the $100's , so how much do you want 2 lights ?
