Out of the 3, I like White Star. Does it seem to have a pale green to it? I hope so, it would be a fresh look. I would put a radius on the end of the peninsula, if there is room to pass. I'd hide the garbage can, get a new eye- catching faucet and larger sink. I know the dish towels are just drying, but I wouldn't cover up your nice stainless ovens. Perhaps relocate the wall phone to a small counter phone. A roman shade in a light cotton or linen,mounted right under the crown molding would look great and cover the solar shade. Declutter the countertops, limiting the items to a coffee maker and perhaps 2 other items. I think it will look like a new kitchen! Post pictures after, please!

Hi Trish, Glass splashbacks can be any Dulux paint colour. As long as you have good lighting like led strip lighting under overhead cupboards you can use the glass splashback to show your personality. Laminex Diamondgloss laminate for the cupboards in a light colour will brighten up your kitchen. This project we used dark edging to the cupboard doors and recessed drawer pulls to make it a bit more interesting rather than it all being the same colour. Personally I love angles & splays, BUT they have to have purpose and be functional. Without seeing more surrounding context hard to comment but i can't help wondering why this all being so squeezed in one area, but then almost wasted/under-utilised space in-between the island and the table - it's like the pantry's boxing/internalising the kitchen which is not ideal.....either way I'd make sure that it flows and is functional and not awkward anywhere

You are kind to say that, Julie. Hubby also washed and polished the floorboards in the two rooms we decided to retain. They look much better as well. This has been fun project; don't quite know what I'll do with myself after it's completed! :) although, in saying that, there is the garden here to keep us occupied...!
